Explore Paris with a camera in a group of photographers - and a model always happens to be there!

What makes Paris special? Certainly worth seeing: Eiffel Tower, the Latin Quarter, Sacré-Cœur, Montmartre, Louvre, Pont Neuf, Pont des Arts, Arc de Triomphe, ...

Street style and street portraits

A travel companion that we can take with us whenever we want. 

We can take her as the main subject in the style of street style and street portrait and Paris becomes a decorative but certainly appropriate backdrop, sometimes she walks through the picture as if by chance and sometimes she is just a companion on our discovery tour.

The course of our photo trip in Paris

Day 1: Arrival 

• ICE from Frankfurt via Mannheim, Karlsruhe, Strasbourg, arrival at 10:38 am at Paris Est station.
• Breakfast in the cafe 
• check-in in the hotel
• then a first excursion with a focus on street style and street portrait with Vera

The light

always good to know: sunrise will be at 6:30 am, sunset at 9:00 pm

I'm happy to suggest locations for the golden and blue hour, but we only decide on the spot. If you like, you can get up early and capture magical light moods in Paris, which is still sleepy, before breakfast.

The day  

after breakfast we take it easy, we stroll and discover.

From the boulevards to the small squares and alleys, the backyards and hidden corners, cafes and restaurants, we will see: Paris has many charming faces!

This experience - and it's not called that for nothing - is also about experiencing. We stop, rest and enjoy culinary Paris.

In the evening our cameras and we have to be fit again. The evening light is here for us!

The night 

After the golden hour comes the blue hour, even if the sky is gray, this is more the time for atmospheric city scapes - cityscapes that inspire with their interplay of dark blue evening sky and the lights of the city.

When the sky goes black, it's more about the details and the games with the light of the night. We play with as long as our condition lasts.

Last day: departure 

• The official part ends at 4 p.m
• Last TGV or ICE from Paris Est to Mannheim, Karlsruhe or Frankfurt, departure between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. depending on the destination 
  Those who prefer to fly or drive should also be able to come home.
• With those who would rather go home the next day. I like to end the day together. 

Attendees

Go on a tour of discovery together0, develop your skills photographically and have fun doing it. Having enough time for good picture compositions and being in the right place at the right time. That's what it's all about It doesn't matter how long and how intensively you work with photography.  

The Paris Experience does not require any special physical condition, but unfortunately it is not suitable for people with mobility impairments.

  No matter how the weather is there, we will have exciting light situations or look for and find them

  it's a bit like staged street photography. Let's be honest: we've probably all seen a motif but haven't had the time to wait for the right person to complete the motif. Although we photograph Vera, we consciously include the city in the composition
• Architecture, long exposure and blue hour
  Capture the evening mood and abstract bit of motion blur in a targeted manner 
  Win smaller Gorillapod with L-bracket or something similar will do. Tripods that dangle outside of the backpack all day are more of a burden

Analog photography

As in all my workshops, analog cameras are welcome. I'm also happy to borrow a camera and bring films if a participant is interested. Then please let us know in advance.

Vera Jurciuc

Mit Vera konnte ich schon über viele Jahre hinweg bei Street Style und Street Portrait Workshops arbeiten. Sie ist so ruhig, fast schon unscheinbar und zurückhaltend und dann so präsent vor der Kamera! 

Sie ist ein international arbeitendes Model für Kunden aus der Mode-Branche, bewegt sich leicht und elegant und bietet aussergewöhnliche, lässige Posen an, sie setzt aber auch genau das um, was du ihr vorschlägst.

Photograph what I feel, not what I see. That is my goal. 

For me, perfection is nothing technical, like exceptional sharpness, contrast, correct color reproduction or low ISO noise.

For me it's about the understanding of the light with which it is made and a composition with a focus on the essentials and the aim of stimulating something in the viewer, whether head or heart.

I also try to convey this to my workshop participants:
Detach yourself from the technology and concentrate on the content and your visual language.
