Location
We meet in Area C, where exciting works by 90 artists are being created and exhibited with the Expostation 2021. Area C will be demolished in the coming months and the future Nordstadt will be built there.
If you want, you can take part in a free workshop before this one Photo Walk over the ExpoStation take part.

I'll show you my philosophy on portrait and street style photography
We work with natural light in the beginning and later build a party to combine the evening light and flash.
Depending on what you like, the flash can be just an invisible helper or a very style-defining element in the picture!
We will see!
Attendees
Das Event ist für Einsteiger geeignet, aber auch für fortgeschrittene Fotografen, die tiefer in die inszenierte Street- und Portraitfotografie oder die Gestaltung von Licht on Location einsteigen wollen.
Please bring a camera with manual adjustment options and a flash shoe with a central contact (just let us know if you have any questions!)
Other utensils are not required. The lenses should have focal lengths that are suitable for the different portraits, i.e. approx. 24 to 85mm in 35mm format. Luminous intensities of 1.8 to 2.8 are advantageous, but not absolutely necessary.
We want to include the environment and not let it sink into the blur!
As in all my workshops, analog cameras are welcome. I'm also happy to borrow a camera and bring films if a participant is interested. Then please let us know in advance.
The model
I already know Katarina from several workshops and am very happy to be able to work with her again!
She is highly committed, you can see that she likes to be in front of the camera (I think behind it too) and stands for really varied pictures.
You will enjoy working with her. Only problem, she climbs up everywhere. Although... it's not that bad 🙂

Your workshop leader
My pictures should not show what I saw at the moment of taking the picture, but what I felt.
That's what I try to convey to my workshop participants: break away from technology and concentrate on your visual language.
Skilful use of light and successful image composition are more important than outstanding camera technique.
